Collagile® human differs significantly from conventional collagen hydrolysates.
The choice of manufacturing method is critically important to both the general quality of the product and its biological quality. The peptides in Collagile® human are obtained in a meticulously controlled hydrolysis process by means of enzymatic cleavage, a method which is optimised for the production of specific Bioactive Collagen Peptides®. The product is then cleansed, concentrated, sterilised and dried. This process safeguards the product’s consistent high quality.
The following diagram shows the manufacturing process.
On the left is the raw material – the gelatine.
Conventional collagen hydrolysate is shown in the centre,
while on the right is our end-product, our Bioactive Collagen Peptides®
To achieve the same success with conventional collagen hydrolysate, you would have to take considerably larger quantities of the product!

The basic raw material is collagen protein from pigskin; the animals undergo veterinary examination and are approved for human consumption. Manufactured in Germany.
The Bioactive Collagen Peptides® in Collagile® human have a modulating effect on cartilage. Human cartilage and bone are in a continuous state of development, growing, repairing and degenerating as the body’s essential adaptation response to changing stress situations. Extreme stress or age-related degeneration can cause this system to get out of balance; an increase in degeneration processes may result. The peptides serve as material for the body to form collagen and can also stimulate formation of type II collagen, hyaluronic acid and other matric molecules. In addition, degenerative processes can be halted and a balance restored in favour of regeneration.
Collagile® human contains the following amino acids:
Collagile® human contains all essential amino acids except tryptophan, in the form of peptides.

Collagile® human is a tasteless, odourless powder which readily dissolves in water. It can be stirred into water or apple juice, or even mixed with yoghurt. Coffee and black tea are less suitable because of their additional constituents.
Collagile® human can be taken once daily and need not accompany meals. The daily dosage can also be split.
However, regular consumption at the same time every day is important (compliance).
Collagile® human is not a painkiller; its effects of stimulating regeneration develop gradually. These effects are very hard to predict, as they depend on the individual’s condition before starting to take Collagile® human. In our experience, it may take up to 12 weeks before positive changes are noticeable.
Collagile® human should be taken over a minimum period of 12 weeks. To maintain the positive effects, we recommend taking Collagile® human over the long term.
Collagile® human is a product optimised for specific Bioactive Collagen Peptides®. Given this, a dosage of 10 g daily is sufficient, irrespective of body weight. 10 g are equal to a level measuring scoop.
Collagile® human is a dietary food for special medical purposes for dietary treatment of osteoarthritis (supplementary balanced diet). It is classified as safe. No undesirable side-effects are known. In extremely large quantities, Collagile® human may cause slight digestive discomfort.
Collagile® human is registered with the German Food Safety and Consumer Protection Agency.
No side-effects are known.
To date, Collagile® human has not been tested on humans with chronic disorders. Given this, consumers with chronic accompanying disorders, e.g. cardiac, hepatic or renal insufficiency, inflammatory intestinal disorders or collagenosis, should always consult a doctor before using the product.
Collagile® human is a dietary food for special medical purposes, designed for dietary treatment of osteoarthritis (supplementary balanced diet). Medical supervision is intended to ensure that the consumer’s symptoms are actually caused by osteoarthritis and not a different disorder, and that no other disorders are overlooked during treatment. In addition, newly emerging disorders may require changes to dietary treatment to be made.
No such interactions are known to date.
Foods for special medical purposes are part of the category of foods developed for patients with specific disorders or symptoms which prevent their nutritional needs from being met by a normal diet.
These foods may only be used in managing the diet of medical patients, i.e. meeting a specific nutritional need, and not for treating a disorder in the same way as administration of medication.
Regulations specify precisely what information and what scientific data we must provide as the manufacturer and in what format, to enable Collagile® human to be examined and approved as a food for special medical purposes.
Foods for special medical purposes (balanced diets) are subject to notification procedures under Section 4a (1) of the German Dietary Food Ordinance (DiätV), which is the responsibility of the German Agency for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

Collagile® human should be stored tightly closed in a cool, dry place. Moisture may particularly impair the quality of the product.
Collagile® human contains low-molecular peptides and is virtually free from allergenic risk. However, allergic reactions from individuals with allergies to pork or pork products cannot be ruled out.
Collagile® human is free from fat, cholesterol and carbohydrates and thus does not affect blood sugar. Diabetics with impaired renal function should consult their treating physician before using the product.
Yes, Collagile® human can also be used during pregnancy and by nursing mothers.
In nutritional terms, Collagile® human is composed of pure protein, which is not usually used to supply the body with energy. A daily dose of 10 g contains only 36 kcal – which is unlikely to affect weight gain.
“Initial worsening” is an expression from the field of homeopathy and is not used in classical medicine or in relation to foods. Although “initial worsening” is not actually possible in purely physiological terms, many people perceive this type of reaction, with supposed causes including medication.
It is primarily linked to expectations; in their hopes of improvement, patients tend to focus particularly on the area where symptoms are felt. As a result, pain is experienced more intensely at first. This effect is completely normal and is rooted in psychological causes. It has nothing to do with an actual worsening of pain, which – as explained – is physiologically impossible. In this situation it is helpful to stay calm and focus less intensely on the problem.
Yes, the individual products have been optimised and tailored to each species.
They differ in their molecular mass (2.5 kDa to 6 kDa) and each contain specific peptides to guarantee optimum uptake (bioavailability). This effect has been proved in numerous studies.
Each species has a different digestive system; in particular, the digestive process of horses differs from that of dogs and cats. For this reason, only the designated product should be used for each species.
The active ingredient is the same in each case.
No. Collagile® human is free from fat, cholesterol, phosphates and purines.
No. Collagile® human is free from gluten and lactose and also contains no glucosamine or chondroitin.
No. Collagile® human is free from colourings and preservatives.
In most cases, Collagile® human results in improvements to skin, fuller hair and stronger nails.
Collagile® human sources its raw materials from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.
There is a logical technical explanation for this.
When we produce the powder and fill the tins, the powder initially expands; tins are filled to a level of around 85% in the filling process.
During transport and storage, the powder settles and compresses, ending up at a far lower level than during the filling process.
For technical reasons, a tin of this height is necessary to accommodate the specified net weight.
The only way to check whether the contents of your tin correspond to the specified net weight is to weigh them without packaging.
At a daily recommended dosage of 10 g and minimum contents of 300 g per tin, a tin will last for 30 days provided the daily dosage is precisely 10 g.
Every tin contains a measuring scoop; one level scoop of Collagile® human weighs approx. 10 g. However, please note that a scoop is not as accurate as a calibrated scale and is only designed as a practical help in measuring the daily dosage. Instead of precisely 10 g, the scoop may contain 1 or 2 grams more. While this slightly higher dosage is completely harmless, the tin will not last for 30 days.
The only way to be sure of taking precisely 10 g is to weigh out the daily dosage using a calibrated scale. This is more effort, but ensures one tin will last for 30 days.
