Collagile® dog differs significantly from conventional collagen hydrolysates.
The choice of manufacturing method is critically important to both the general quality of the product and its biological quality. The peptides in Collagile® dog are obtained in a meticulously controlled hydrolysis process by means of enzymatic cleavage, a method which is optimised for the production of specific Bioactive Collagen Peptides®. The product is then cleansed, concentrated, sterilised and dried. This process safeguards the product’s consistent high quality.
The following diagram shows the production process.
On the left is the raw material – the gelatine.
Conventional collagen hydrolysate is shown in the centre, while on the right is our end-product, our Bioactive Collagen Peptides®.
To achieve the same success with conventional collagen hydrolysate, you would have to feed considerably larger quantities of the product!

The Bioactive Collagen Peptides® in Collagile® dog have a modulating effect on cartilage. Cartilage and bone are in a continuous state of development – growing, repairing and degenerating, in the body’s essential adaptation response to changing stress situations. Extreme stress or age-related degeneration can cause this system to become imbalanced; an increase in degeneration processes may result. The peptides serve as material for the body to form collagen and can also stimulate formation of type II collagen, hyaluronic acid and other matric molecules. In addition, degenerative processes can be halted and a balance restored in favour of regeneration.
Collagile® dog contains the following amino acids:
Collagile® dog contains all essential amino acids except tryptophan, in the form of peptides.

We recommend giving daily doses of Collagile® dog.
Animals weighing up to 4.9kg: minimum 3.5g / day
Animals weighing over 5 kg: minimum 5 g / day
Animals weighing over 8 kg: minimum 1 scoop / day
Animals weighing over 28 kg: minimum 1.5 scoops / day
Animals weighing over 45 kg: minimum 2 scoops / day
Animals weighing over 70 kg: minimum 2.5 scoops / day
Für Katzen, je nach Gewicht und Bewegungsfreude:
bis 5 kg 2,5 g, über 5 kg 3,5 g täglich.
We recommend a dosage of 2 scoops per day for the first 10 days for animals weighing over 28 kg, and 2.5 scoops per day for animals over 30 kg. If possible, divide dosages, particularly larger dosages, between two feeds.
One level measuring scoop is approx. 7 g.
Each tin contains a measuring scoop, which may be buried in the powder after transit; run a fork through the powder to locate the scoop. If no measuring scoop is supplied, please note the following measurements:
1 well-heaped teaspoonful = approx. 2.5 g
1 well-heaped dessertspoonful = approx. 5 g
The Bioactive Collagen Peptides® in Collagile® dog are all-natural and completely free from side-effects.
We therefore recommend long-term administration of the product to provide ongoing support for your animal’s musculoskeletal system.
Collagile® dog is sold as a fine powder. Every tin contains only pure Bioactive Collagen Peptides® and is free from any further additives.
Mix the powder with dry food/kibble, wet food or meat.
We recommend mixing the powder with cottage cheese, yoghurt or liverwurst; or mix the dry food with a little water and then add the powder.
Other feeding methods than those suggested are not recommended!
This question is extremely difficult to answer.
Each individual case is different; however, you should allow around eight weeks before changes start to appear.
In some cases positive changes have started to emerge after only two weeks; in others, changes took up to four months.
We admit that around 20 % of cases showed no change. The product simply offers an opportunity – no more and no less.
We therefore advise patience.
Yes, because Collagile® dog is free from side-effects.
Yes, our Bioactive Collagen Peptides® are completely harmless for pregnant and suckling animals and can be given to them without hesitation.
In the case of all animals with chronic disorders (e.g. renal insufficiency, liver damage, intestinal disorders, thyroid problems etc.), consult your veterinary surgeon before starting on a course of Collagile® dog. This general principle applies to supplements of all kinds.
Our Bioactive Collagen Peptides® are natural substances and usually cause no problems whatsoever. However, we urge you to consult your veterinarian of choice before starting a course of Collagile® dog for sick animals.
Yes, Collagile® dog is completely tasteless. It is in the form of a fine powder, which cannot be avoided or left by the animal. It is easy to mix with wet food and can be combined with a little water before mixing into dry food.
The powder can also be mixed with cottage cheese, yoghurt, liverwurst etc., particularly for animals which receive dry food.
Never mix the powder with dry food or kibble without adding liquid!
Collagile® dog does not need to be refrigerated. A cool room, e.g. a bedroom, is adequate for storage. Avoid direct sunlight and do not store in hot rooms. The product should be kept away from moisture or damp.
Collagile® dog is free from allergens according to the German Allergen Ordinance.
Our Bioactive Collagen Peptides® are produced from pigskin.
No allergic reactions have been found, even in animals with allergic reactions to pork.
One reason is that our Bioactive Collagen Peptides® comprise neither meat nor fat.
They solely comprise low-molecular amino acids, which are unable to trigger allergic reactions.
However, as Collagile® dog is composed of pure protein, we advise against giving the product to animals with allergic reactions to or intolerance of protein.
Collagile® dog is sugar-free and therefore suitable for diabetic animals.
No, Collagile® dog has never produced any side-effects.
Slight diarrhoea has been noted in a very few individual cases, mainly at the start of a high-dosage course and primarily in animals fed on dry food or kibble.
In this case, stop feeding Collagile® dog until the animal returns to normal. To accustom your animal to Collagile® dog gradually, start by adding a pinch of the product to the feed, and increase the quantity up to the recommended dose for your animal or to the point where your animal shows no digestive problems.
If possible, divide larger dosages between two feeds.
Soft and/or loose stools are not a problem.
No. Collagile® dog is free from fat, cholesterol, phosphates and purines.
No. Collagile® dog is free from gluten and lactose and also contains no glucosamine or chondroitin.

Depending on weight and activity levels:
3.5 g daily for animals weighing up to 5 kg.
A well-heaped teaspoonful weighs around 2.5 g. Use precise scales for the best results.
One level measuring scoop is approx. 7 g.
Yes, the individual products have been optimised and tailored to each species.
They differ in their molecular mass (2.5 kDa to 6 kDa) and each contain specific peptides to guarantee optimum uptake (bioavailability). This effect has been proved in numerous studies.
Each species has a different digestive system; in particular, the digestive process of horses differs from that of dogs and cats. For this reason, only the designated product should be used for each species.
The effective ingredient is the same in each case.
Collagile® dog sources its raw materials from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

No; this disease is only passed on through raw meat from infected animals, and Collagile® dog is produced under such high heat that the virus cannot survive.
Even the faintest risk of infection would be enough to ban Collagile® dog from the market.
Collagile® dog is derived from pigskin, from animals which are approved for human consumption.
There is a logical technical explanation for this.
When we produce the powder and fill the tins, the powder initially expands; tins are filled to a level of around 85% in the filling process.
During transport and storage, the powder settles and compresses, ending up at a far lower level than during the filling process.
For technical reasons, a tin of this height is necessary to accommodate the specified net weight.
The only way to check whether the contents of your tin correspond to the specified net weight is to weigh them without packaging.
